Rob has been a springboard dive coach in the Northern Virginia Swim League (NVSL) since 1985. He has coached two separate teams to 17 Division One NVSL Team Championships: Truro Homes Association and Parliament Pool, Inc.. He is the founder/creator of the NVSL Cracker Jack Invitational Dive Meet. This is the largest one day diving event in the country. He has also been the Lake Braddock Secondary School (1985 to 1999) and W.T. Woodson High School (2001 to present) varsity high school springboard dive coach. He has coached both high schools to a combined 19 Virginia High School State Team Championships. In the 2016/2017 season, one of his W.T. Woodson divers was the National Champion High School Boy’s Diver & earned the rare distinction and honor of being the #1 All American High School Boy’s Diver in the country.
Rob Carvajal has been the Director of Adult Tennis at The Four Seasons Tennis Club since August of 2009. Having not started playing the game of tennis until he was 29 years old, Rob worked to create an inspiring tennis program where he could bring all of his diving experiences onto the tennis courts. He created and developed the RJ TENNIS BOOT CAMP program where beginners and all the way to the 4.5/5.0 players could hit tons of tennis balls, play out exhilarating points, learn and grow with other similarly skilled players in a motivating environment, with challenging drills, innovative and fun games, and cutting edge programming. His dive and tennis coaching philosophies have always been the same: play, practice, train and compete, in the same way you aspire to live your lives. Like his dive team programs, that he has coached throughout the years, the adult RJ TENNIS BOOT CAMP program has grown to become wildly popular. So much so, it’s the most popular adult tennis program in the metropolitan area.
Rob is also the owner of RJ TENNIS LLC which has contracted with various outdoor swim & racquet clubs throughout the northern Virginia area since 1991. He is happily married to his wife Wendy. They are the proud parents of three Bernese Mountain Dogs: Marcus, Charlotte and RJ (pictured below).

He will be playing for the George Mason University men’s tennis team in January of 2018.
Sean loves coaching tennis.
